1. Practitioner and Services

DoctorVivek.com provides Ayurvedic consultation services through Dr. Vivek Joshi, a Registered Medical Practitioner in Ayurveda, subject to applicable registration and professional requirements.

Services may include online Ayurvedic consultations, Ayurvedic assessment, lifestyle and dietary (Pathya-Apathya) guidance, treatment recommendations, prescriptions of Ayurvedic medicines/formulations where legally permissible, follow-up consultations, and general educational information relating to Ayurveda, health, diet, and lifestyle.

Consultations may be conducted through video call, audio call, chat, or other available telemedicine methods.

Online consultations are provided in accordance with applicable Indian laws, regulations, professional standards, and telemedicine requirements applicable to Registered Ayurvedic Practitioners.

2. Online Consultation and Emergencies

Online consultation is not a substitute for an in-person medical examination where physical examination, diagnostic testing, emergency treatment, or other clinical evaluation is medically necessary.

Dr. Vivek Joshi may recommend an in-person consultation, diagnostic investigation, specialist consultation, or hospital visit whenever appropriate.

DoctorVivek.com is not an emergency medical service. If you experience a medical emergency or potentially life-threatening condition, immediately contact your nearest emergency medical service or visit the nearest hospital/emergency department. Do not wait for an online consultation.

Ayurvedic treatment outcomes vary between individuals depending on factors including Prakriti, health condition, severity, duration of illness, lifestyle, adherence to recommendations, concurrent treatments, and other circumstances.

DoctorVivek.com and Dr. Vivek Joshi do not guarantee a cure, specific result, or particular treatment timeline.

Articles, videos, blogs, social media content, FAQs, and other educational materials are provided for general educational purposes and should not be considered individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Eligibility and Patient Responsibilities

Users must generally be 18 years or older to book a consultation for themselves. Consultations for minors must be booked and attended by a parent or legally authorized guardian.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information regarding your medical history, symptoms, diagnoses, medications, supplements, allergies, previous treatments, ongoing medical treatment, and relevant reports.

Incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or withheld information may affect the practitioner's assessment and recommendations.

You are responsible for having a suitable device, stable internet connection, working audio/video facilities where required, and a reasonably private environment for consultation.

4. Telemedicine Consent

By booking and participating in an online consultation, you consent to receiving healthcare advice through telemedicine.

Consent may be obtained through a booking confirmation, website checkbox, electronic communication, or verbal/written confirmation at the beginning of the consultation.

You understand that teleconsultation has limitations compared with an in-person consultation. Certain clinical examinations and assessments may not be possible or may be limited through online consultation.

5. Prescriptions and Ayurvedic Medicines

Prescriptions issued following a consultation are intended for the specific patient and condition assessed during that consultation.

A prescription should not be copied, shared, altered, or repeated without appropriate professional advice or follow-up where required.

If Ayurvedic medicines or formulations are recommended or sold through DoctorVivek.com, they must be used strictly according to the directions provided.

You should not independently increase the dosage, frequency, or duration of use. If you experience an unexpected or adverse reaction, discontinue use where appropriate and seek medical advice promptly.

Where a prescription is used to purchase medicines from an independent third-party pharmacy or seller, DoctorVivek.com and Dr. Vivek Joshi are not responsible for matters outside their control, including third-party authenticity, storage, handling, delivery, substitution, or quality.

6. Fees, Payments, Cancellation and Refunds

Consultation fees displayed on DoctorVivek.com at the time of booking shall apply to the selected consultation unless otherwise stated. Fees are generally payable in advance.

Cancellation, refund, and rescheduling eligibility shall be governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy displayed on DoctorVivek.com.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Consultation fees may be non-refundable once the consultation has been completed.

  • Cancellation or rescheduling requests should be made within the applicable period specified on the Website.

  • No-shows may not qualify for a refund.

  • Applicable refunds may be subject to payment gateway processing timelines.

DoctorVivek.com may cancel or reschedule a consultation due to unforeseen circumstances, practitioner unavailability, technical issues, or other reasonable causes. Where applicable, customers may be offered rescheduling or a refund in accordance with the applicable policy.
